At Boston College, I supported a physics faculty member's research which sought to create a cochlear implant in a partnership with Mass. General Hospital. This implant uses the electrical/magnetic field outside of a solenoid to perform neurostimulation, which can aid hearing loss. I modeled this magnetic field using an analytical solution and created visualizations such as vector fields and streamline plots, which helped the research team determine the exact magnitude at a specified position and analyze the field's behavior.
