Designing and implementing a full-stack monitoring and data analysis system for the Quantum Materials and Devices Lab.

Highlights

  • Designed and built full-stack monitoring system from scratch for Quantum Materials and Devices Lab to track environmental conditions, equipment status, and maintenance schedules
  • Integrated real-time sensor data from ESP32 microcontrollers into Grafana instance hosted on Raspberry Pi, enabling live visualization of 20+ datastreams
  • Added calendar integration for equipment reservation tracking alongside sensor data
  • Architected the system to be extensible, laying groundwork for future integration of additional equipment, AI-powered alerts, and safety recommendations
  • Contributed as testbed for broader initiative to build connected cleanroom network across Boston area
